Feeling ratner laconic today, so I'll just ask my question, and see if any answers appear.
Mind itself has moved beyond the question: "Which one?", because it precludes valuable synergies. The question now is: "Which two?"
Should it be...
edwards/obama (yes)
obama/edwards
clinton/edwards
edwards/clinton
obama/clinton
clinton/obama
...or some other combination?
For a host of reason, the ideal team is:
Edwards/Obama
...at least from the given choices. Each has racked up a lot of support, and Hillary has already had her years in the White House, so she should not fret too much by being given a reprieve. She and Bill did great work, and will hopefully bring their talent and connections to bear in an Edwards/Obama White House.
So...why not Obama/Edwards?
Simple. Both are good and great men...but Obama is, frankly, where Edwards was in 2000, and Edwards has been paying attention, and preparing, all that time. Obama really hasn't.
But what a consolation for Obama! Vice President! Not too shabby at all. And moreover...Obama in 2016 as President.
And by then, a very well-prepared president, who will carry on our progressive ideals forward another 8 years...and if he picks the best VP...another 8 still!
